Christmas Eve, 2014.  I'm without immediate family this year....for the first time ever.  Terry and her family took the train to LA to spend the holidays with my son-in-law's family.  I'm glad my grandsons have the opportunity to meet their new cousin and see their aunt and their grandfather again.  I spend several days a week with them.  Jimmy's family only sees them on rare occasions.  I'm the lucky one!  We will have Christmas together after they return.

So, I am going to volunteer at a couple of our church services later today so that others can have more time with family.

Tomorrow I go to my sister-in-law's for dinner.

We have no snow in the forecast for Washington, except in the Cascades.  That's fine with me.  Our roads, our citizens, and our transportation department are definitely not able to handle snow very well.  Good thing it is a rare treat!

And now to do some cooking for dinner tomorrow at Joan's.

Merry Christmas!
